The Kitchen
Bringing its hallmark craftsmanship to this Georgian townhouse kitchen, Langstaff designed bespoke, smoked bronze glass wall cabinets, finished in liquid metal, and a statement extractor hood clad in Arklam Calacatta Paonazzo porcelain. To maintain the kitchen’s minimalist silhouette, high-spec appliances were seamlessly integrated within the floor-to-ceiling cabinetry, with recessed liquid metal finger pulls replacing external hardware.
The kitchen island features Taj Mahal quartzite with a unique, textured-leather finish—a natural stone combining the durability of granite with the organic beauty of marble. Throughout the space, thoughtful bespoke details reveal themselves: solid oak, dovetail-jointed drawers with leather-lined knife dividers, angled spice holders and custom Nespresso pod and tea-bag compartments, and a door-mounted oak spice rack in the larder cabinet.
The Breakfast Bar
Adjacent to the kitchen, Langstaff conceived the breakfast bar as an inviting space for casual dining. Featuring open shelving alongside cabinetry crafted from rich eucalyptus veneer, the design echoes details from the kitchen, including recessed finger pulls, with hammered brass handles adding an exquisite finishing flourish.
The Bar
Flooded with natural light spilling from the garden doors, the bar area beckons as a relaxing spot to pull up a chair and unwind. The striking Italian Breccia Medicea marble bar top cascades seamlessly into the splashback, with the cabinetry below discreetly concealing integrated storage. Handcrafted in Quartered Sawn Oak veneer, custom-stained aqua grey, the bespoke, handleless cabinetry and open-wall shelving lend an airy elegance, while the fluted oak detailing beneath the island strikes the perfect balance between modern and classic.
The Media Wall
In the adjoining lounge area, where the owners gather to unwind, Langstaff designed a bespoke Media Wall that effortlessly marries form and function. The integrated bookcase features antique brass liquid metal accents, creating a sense of cohesion throughout the home. Mirroring the bespoke joinery of the nearby bar, the cabinetry is finished in Langstaff’s specialist aqua grey Quartered Sawn Oak veneer, while a fully integrated back panel, painted in Paint & Paper Library’s Slate, conceals all cabling to maintain an elegant, uninterrupted aesthetic.
